How do i treat a ingrown hair down there from shaving ?

i shave down there and i remember back in june having a hard time shaving in a certain area and so i have a little bump down there thats like is kinda purple. it doesnt hurt. however i shave down there every week and for a while i was shaving over that bump so i think thats why it's still there however today when i shaved i tried to not go near the bump....i know i just left that part as it is i know that looks weird lol but its not like right now anyone is gonna see it. if it is what i think...a ingrown hair when i see the hair pop out should i let it grow out on it's own and it will fall out? or should i pull it out w/ teasers?
