How do religious people explain away recent evolutionary leaps if evolution doesn't exist?

I don't think anyone rejects this kind of evolution (microevolution). Nor does this conflict with the Bible....it is the idea that evolution takes place from one species to another (macroevolution) that remains unproven, and in conflict with God's account of Creation as found in Genesis.
