Can i get altitude sickness at 8300 feet?
I am leaving for Bogata, Colombia in a few days and i heard it had an elevation of 8300 feet. I am a little worried because about 6-7 years ago i went skiing in Breckenridge for a week (9600 feet) and i felt really crappy and could not do anything because of the altitude sickness i got. Additionally, I am ALOT more fit and in shape than i was when i went on that trip. Also the weather in bogata is almost always 77 degrees as opposed to 20-30's in Colorado. I was wondering if it is likely I will get severe altitude sickness like i did several years ago, or will i be fine due to the differences of the two places?
