Long, lucid dream: please help me interpret what it means?

I think the cereal is just your real life sneaking into your dreams. The man represents all men. His awkward, elaborate attempt to ask you out appeals your desire to be wooed and adored. You duck from your mom because you feel she will not approve of any man. The dog questions why you aren't attacking him because he is your ally and knows you fear him and desire him at the same time. He won't go to the hospital because you want your man to be tough as well as sensitive. He is afraid you will leave even after you act protective and try to defend him because he can see the fear and misgivnings in your eyes. As you try to reure him you realize its a lie, so you wake up, not able to utter that lie to yourself.
