Looking to build a computer-first time?
cheaper brands: amd for the cpu, and Radeon or ati for the video card. depending on the stuff inside the computer is if you can use the old power supply you can go to a href="http://www.antec.outervision.com/" rel="nofollow"http://www.antec.outervision.com//a to find out if you need a new power supply. for the ram i would get ddr3 it is newer and faster and would cost around $80 for 4 gb on newegg.com depending on the cpu you want is depending on the motherboard you can get i usually base every thing off of the cpu and work my computer around that. also depending on the mother board is if you can use your case as if the case does not fit the mother board you cant use it at all. i would go with a mid to full tower case because it works best with most motherboards os i would try to go with windows 7 if you afford it if not stick with windows xp if you cant get that you can go with linux which is a free os try to get a combo deal with the cpu and cooling it saves a little money and time? try to go with a mother board that has a faster fsb one thing you are missing is the nic(network interface card) but you can get a motherboard with it on board. to save money which i love doing i don't even get a video card i would just find a mother board with one on it it works fine as it is but it is up to you if you want to do it or not. if i forgot any thing sorry it just a huge list and a little messy
