Ok talk?

ok my boyfriend has i guess you could say a problem with talk i try to start it and he always just says sweet after the first text a send so i ask him do you wnat me to keep going or no he says i just wan2 talk i asked him a week ago am i doing something wrong he said no youre really really good but i want to talk talk not talk is there any way to get him more interested in that kinda stuff or should i just let it go?
