What do I say to him after?

I left a note in my friend's locker asking if he'll go to sadies hawkins with me but he wasn't at school today but he came after school and saw it... but I wasn't there. So he told my friend he said yes but he wants to tell me personally tomorrow. So when he says he'll go with me to Sadies...what do I say after that doesn't sound cheesy?
