How long will it take for my fig tree to produce fruit?

It is 8-10" tall, and it gets about 8 hours of sun a day .. it is indoors because it does not survive outdoors. the indoor temps are very high and it is thriving. what fertilizers will promote fruit set? and how can i make my fig tree fruit faster?
